Hi, I'm Harrison Harper, a software developer based in Washington, D.C.
I'm a systems analyst at McWilliams|Ballard, co-founder of Pick5, and a partner at Harper Web Services. Most of my work covers the whole stack, from the database to the interface.
Background
I grew up in Auburn, Alabama and studied Information Systems Management with a Computer Science minor at Auburn University. I picked up cybersecurity exposure through an internship at the McCrary Institute, where I supported research on cyber threats to critical energy and communications infrastructure. That was my first real introduction to the world where technology meets policy.
After graduating, I started building custom web applications and AI automation workflows for clients through Harper Web Services. I also co-founded Pick5, a setlist prediction game for jam band fans that now has 3,000+ users. Along the way I went deep on Web3 through Metana's Solidity bootcamp and built Glyph Hash, an immutable audit logging tool on Hedera.
I've followed crypto since 2019. When the CLARITY Act passed the House in July 2025, I tracked every amendment, markup and joint taxonomy update, and that research became CoinCompliancy, a compliance dashboard for the new rules.
In August 2026 I joined McWilliams|Ballard in Alexandria, Virginia, where I build internal tools, data pipelines and web systems. Outside of that I work on Pick5 and Harper Web Services.

Supported daily operations at a cybersecurity-focused policy institute. Managed the Senior Fellow database and conducted background research on emerging cyber threats to critical energy and communications infrastructure.
